Jarod is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas, a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and a licensed investment advisor. He is the founder of his own CPA practice in Fort Worth and serves as a Wealth Partner with Buchanan Wealth Partners. Drawing on a diverse background in public accounting, private credit, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial advisory services, Jarod provides clients with a comprehensive approach to financial planning.
He began his career with a local private credit firm before transitioning to a middle-market CPA firm and later joining a Big Four accounting firm. These experiences helped develop his expertise in tax, finance, and business advisory services. Today, Jarod partners with Steve Buchanan through Avantax to deliver holistic, tax-efficient investment strategies tailored to each client’s goals.
Jarod holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, both from Texas Wesleyan University.
Outside the office, Jarod is an avid tennis player and coach and serves as a tennis instructor at River Crest Country Club.
